Using simulation to predict defects in and cast Al-alloy castings
Šolc, Petr ; Bařinová, Dagmar (referee) ; Čech, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this work is comparing three casting process simulation programs for porosity and microstructure prediction capabilities for die-casting. After confronting these results with experimentally measured data taken from real castings it could be said that simulation is pretty accurate for DAS microstructure prediction and hot-spot areas. Amount of measured porosity could not be compared with predicted values because specimens were not taken from the exact hot-spot areas.
Setting the parameters of the mathematical model of the Engine ECU
Vychopeň, David ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
Master’s thesis is focused on creating a suitable methodology for determining the parameters of the electronic control unit of the engine. Discusses how the measurement of input data into the methodology, the basic description of its functions and display the resulting values. It includes evaluation of applicability of the methodologies and the real parameters when compared with the parameters established on the basis of established methodology.
Numerical Model of Engine Control Unit
Křepelka, Jan ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with issues of controlling the amount of fuel injected by the control unit. Model of four-cylinder engine and computational model of control unit were constructed in the simulation software Lotus Engine Simulation. Then was made model checking of the control unit by simulation two transients (acceleration and shifting). In conclusion was made application a created model on the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) and appropriately evaluated and processed the results of this simulation.
Model simulation using SIMIT
Váňa, Dominik ; Pásek, Jan (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on simulating a technological proces. The teorethical part of the text deals with the simulation tools available on the market. Special attention is paid to SIMIT tool, which is a complex solution for simulating processes. The thesis describes the basic control and the procedure of creation in this tool. The theoretical analysis presents the possibilities of its extension with additional libraries. It contains a brief description about these libraries, which provide much more simulation options. SIMIT is a virtual commissioning tool, a process design approach that is used to simulate a virtual factory model, test it, and debug it before it is deployed. This is a cost-effective and timesaving approach. In the practical part of the thesis two simulators were created with the SIMT tool, each of which simulates an excercise from the subject „Programmable logigs controllers“ (BPGA). The thesis presents model schemes of simulated processes that replace the real physical model. The results of the work are the created simulators, descriptions of their operation and valuation of their features and the properties of the SIMT program itself.
Vzdušný hokej - machine vision and game strategy
Sláma, Ondřej ; Lang, Stanislav (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to implement a robotic air hockey table in cooperation with the work of Dominik Jašek [37] . Specifically, the work deals with the implementation of simulation software that models behavior of robotic air hockey table, designing a game strategy for the robot and detecting position of a puck situated on the playing field. In addition, the work was extended by integrating said software modules under one control application and creating a user interface for controlling and managing all the functionalities of the robotic table through a capacitive touch screen.
Use of the CAM software PowerMILL 2018 for machining of a mold
Drbal, Jindřich ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The subject of submitted diploma thesis is complete structure of procedures necessary for the designing and subsequent production of forging dies for production of semi-finished connecting rods. The initial part deals with the design of forging die. Following part is consisted of materials used for production of this type of tools. Ensuing is proposal of tooling for machining of the die following with simulation of the milling processes.
